WHY CHOOSE US
A clean kitchen exhaust system is your key to compliance and insurance coverage
We understand that keeping your kitchen exhaust system clean is essential for daily running of your business and government compliance and insurance coverage in case of a fire. That's why our highly skilled and trained staff are dedicated to cleaning and maintaining your entire kitchen exhaust system, including:
CANOPIES
Canopies are the most visible to your customers and are the closest to cooking flames. Our team ensures all loose grease and any early signs of burning are removed to prevent heavy carbon build up, and keep your team safe.
DUCT WORK
Ducts are the least visible section of your commercial kitchen, but often the most important, as they remove hazardous grease (fuel) build-up. Our teams remove all grease to meet key health and quality standards.
EXHAUST FANS
Often, exhaust fans are not visible. However, they remove steam and vapour, which means they also retain grease build up. Our team specialises in removing, cleaning and maintaining your exhaust fans all year round with no costly cooking shutdowns.

FAQ

In Australia, commercial kitchen operators and building owners have a duty to keep kitchen exhaust systems safe. The Australian Standard AS 1851-2012 outlines a series of minimum inspection, maintenance, and record-keeping requirements for kitchen exhaust systems. At a minimum this means the system must be cleaned at least once a year by a properly trained, qualified, or certified company or person.
While restaurant employees are expected to clean the exterior surfaces of exhaust hoods as part of their normal hood cleaning procedures, the thorough cleaning outlined in is to be carried out by trained kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals.
The frequency of cleaning depends on the type of facility and the usage of the HVAC system. In general, it is recommended, if not essential for compliance, to have your system inspected and cleaned at least once a year, but some facilities may require more frequent cleaning, such as those with high volume cooking or those involved in food production. Some light or low grease cooking environment restaurants are well suited being cleaned once per year while we have high volume high grease cooking restaurants that require services every fortnight. Once an initial service is completed, we can monitor the buildup to get the right balance between risk and maintenance cost.
The cost of our services varies depending on the size of the facility, the complexity of the system, and the type of services required. We have deep expertise and scale which allows us to offer cost-competitive prices, often significantly lower than our competitors. We always ensure transparent pricing to ensure that you get the best value for your investment and no surprises.
Core to our cleaning process is ensuring pictures are taken of the system before and after it is serviced. On request at any time following service, we can provide a link to all the before and after images as well as risk assessments and service dockets completed during the service.
We ensure that all our team members hold the necessary safety certifications and qualifications to perform their job safely and efficiently, to ensure your safety and the ongoing longevity of your systems. Our technicians are extensively trained to work on HVAC systems in commercial and industrial facilities and complete work to the necessary standards (ie AS 1851-2012). To ensure a strong safety culture we are CM3 safety certified. We have senior staff members trained and certified with the leading International Air Duct Cleaning body (NADCA). To ensure best practices we are members of IKECA (International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaners Association).
We have deep expertise in kitchen exhaust systems servicing over 1000 sites in Australia. For most standard-sized restaurants we can provide a quote almost immediately after a short discussion or by collecting key information. Generally, we will want to understand the following: number of filters, canopies, fans along with date of last service and whether there is any known system access issues. For significantly larger or more complex sites we will send one of our highly experienced State Managers to inspect your site
